Oakridge Ave – Alternative Rock – Funk – Blues

Songwriters – Performers

Kingston’s best new Rock n’ Roll export; barrel-aged, unfiltered, and best served cold, this Indie Rock trio has cut their teeth among the Limestone City’s many prestigious live music venues and festivals. Following the 2017 release of their debut full-length album, ‘10’, Oakridge Ave. has made a splash in the Southern Ontario rock circuit performing with the likes of Lost Cousins, Kasador, Rocket Surgery and Street Pharmacy, to name a few. ‘10’, recorded at Back Forty Productions in Picton, Ontario, comprises an array of dynamic, hard-hitting indie rock songs with flares of blues, folk, and funk. The band’s impending EP release (Spring 2018) is set to elaborate on this unique style with new, engaging sonic explorations as well as a road-tested live performance.

Ripe with proficient improvisation, thoughtful song writing, and uncompromised stage presence, Oakridge Ave.’s live appearances have cemented them in Kingston’s Indie Rock scene, with promise to expand well beyond the borders of their musically-rich home turf.

The trio has gone through a number of iterations throughout their 4-year tenure, but one factor has remained the same: authenticity – a pure honesty and realism in writing and performance. With influences such as The Rolling Stones, The Lowest of the Low, Red Hot Chili Peppers and John Mayer, Oakridge Ave.’s roots are firmly planted in a raw, unadulterated style of music that translates into pure passion and joy of playing onstage.

Many of the band’s early songs stem from nights spent on the street of their namesake, and invite listeners and audiences to join them in the making of new memories, and the retelling of unforgettable high jinks on Oakridge Ave. New songs to look out for include ‘Midnight’, a climatic story about restless inspiration, and ‘Waiting’, which boasts one of their catchiest, most upbeat hooks and lyrics to date. They are currently writing and performing new material throughout Ontario and plan to continue expanding their reach across North America.
